MX-500 - need codes for Denon dbp-1610 blu-ray player

I have an old MX-500 remote. In the past, I've simply learned the individual buttons from each of my devices' remotes.

However, I purchased an open box Denon dbp-1610 blu-ray player which did not come with the remote.

I tried the pre-programmed Denon DVD codes listed in the MX-500 manual, but no dice.

Does anyone know where I can find Denon blu-ray player codes which might work with my remote? I haven't the faintest idea where to begin here and I'm trying to avoid spending $40 on a replacement remote for my Denon which I'll never use again. For that price, I'd rather just upgrade to a new universal.

Thanks...I was actually thinking of doing that, as there's a high end audio shop in town that sells Denon products. They should have something on display that I can use to learn the codes.
