I am looking to setup a 5.1 HT system in my basement and also power 2 speakers in a separate zone(dining room). I got a quote from an A/V dealer for the HT system and he suggested a DTR-40.2. Since then I have been wondering whether it would be better to get separates. I was thinking of using my current Yamaha RX-V663 and pairing it with an Emotiva UPA-7 as a starting point and later replacing the Yamaha with a DHC-40.2 Would these make a substantial difference in sound quality vs the standalone DTR ?
