I try to play a 3D blue ray with powerDVD 10. I have a laptop containing a ATI mobility radeon HD 5470 graphics card. I configured it so that the output frequency to my TV (Samsung PS50C7700) is set to 24 Hz (1920x1080). In powerDVD the display 3D device is set to HDMI1.4 enabled 3D TV (manually, autodetect does not work). Catalyst drivers are version 10.10. Also I have an Onkyo HT-R538 AV receiver. All components except the laptop have HDMI 1.4.
When I connect the laptop to the TV using a HDMI 1.4 cable everything works great. PowerDVD plays the Blue ray and the TV detects it as a 3D movie. Nice!
However, when I connect the laptop to the receiver, and the receiver to the TV things start to get weird. The TV still detects a 3D movie being played, but the left and right images are not projected on top of each other but with a +- 10 cm vertical offset and +- 2 cm horizontal offset.
When playing the a 3D blue ray with TMT3 (demo version) the same happens. Fine when connected to TV, awfull when connected to receiver.
There is no problem playing normal blue rays and DVDs
Does anyone here know what could cause this odd behaviour?
