Viewing 3d BluRay on multiple TVs at the same time.

I finally got a 3D BluRay movie "Monster House", not because I care about the movie but because I wanted to know whether I could feed it to several rooms of my house at the same time. I am able to do it by using PowerDVD 10 and outputting in checkerboard format.
I use two hdmi splitters to feed the different rooms and control the computer from the various rooms with bluetooth keyboards/mice.
I am curious to know if there are other ways to do this and if any one else is doing this.

And yes I do understand it cuts the resolution in half.
Still looks awesome from up close.

You could split an HDMI 1.4 framepacked signal instead for full 1080p per eye...

Sure. I use an Octava HDMI 4x4 matrix switcher. It allows me to send any of 4 HDMI inputs to any or all of 4 HDMI displays. I send two home theater PC signals and two Dish Network receiver signals to 3 different HDTV displays (an LCD that I use as a computer monitor, a front projector and a Samsung 3D plasma TV). I use USB keyboards and mice to control the HTPCs from the three rooms.

I got an email back from Octava the other day that says I can use this switcher with 3D Blu-ray. They claim 3D Blu-ray compatibility on their web site and they had me check my serial number to verify that mine was compatible. Unfortuantely. at this point none of my 3 AVRs is HDMI compatible, so I'll have trouble verifying this. Your situation may be different than mine, since each of the outputs from my Octava goes first to a receiver that powers the sound system for that room.

If none of your AVRs are HDMI 1.4a models then they cannot extract the sound from a HDMI 1.4a 3D double packed frame buffer from a 3D blu-ray player then can accept HDMI 1.4a 1080i or 720p 3D formatted data from a cable or satellite STB and remove the sound from these formats.

I know. It's a hassle. I just replaced the last of my receivers with HDMI 1.3 ones about a year ago. Eventually, I'll switch them out, but right now I'm using the Panasonic 350 3D Blu-ray player in the room where I have my Samsung plasma. Its dual HDMI outputs work well for that room, but it's not a long term solution for the way I want my gear to function throughout the house.
