All my HT is in black so I got the black satin and the fit and finish is second to none actually the pictures on the net don't do it justice as most owners will agree.

You can see then just above the subs in the pics from my signature.

Is that the monster power center with a mono price name on it?

Hello fellow bass heads. I recently added a Mac mini to my home theater system. I just loaded a 256 Kbps mp3 I was using and then played it next to the apple lossless format (ALAC) of the same song.. I must say besides the noticeable better mids the bass hits harder. Just sayin...

Quick question, is the included power cord the standard 6 feet in length?

I am not at home to measure it but that number sounds about right based upon the distances mine are from the walls.

I quickly measured mine and it was 7 feet and some change.

Thanks guys, I will measure my wall to see how far the power outlet will be. I think the cord should reach just fine.

Since these are freight items, does FedEx call you ahead of time to schedule delivery, or did they just surprise you at the door? Since I'm getting 2 of them, I would hope that I can arrange a day in advance at least for delivery.

I'm finally getting ready to place my order, and just ordered longer sub cables. There's no better feeling in the world than the joy of waiting for upgrade gear! biggrin.gif

They called me to make sure I'd be home, but I got the impression that was due to the size/weight of the boxes and may not be a guarantee.

I'd check your transit time from Anaheim, CA to decide when you'd like to place the order.
I believe HSU uses FedEx ground, so unless otherwise told you should be getting them at your door step unless you gave HSU special instructions for FedEx to schedule/pick up at terminal. Cool none the less you are getting TWO of these beasts!
Mine came by fedex ground. It probably won't be Fedex who actually delivers them but a subcontractor because of the size of the boxes. I got mine a few weeks apart. I can only imagine getting them both on the same day.
Mine was shipped FedEx ground and FedEx delivered it on a dolly and even brought in the house since my wife was the only one home when it came. I've had four Hsu subs and each one was delivered by FedEx.
Yeah, I was afraid they wouldn't bring them inside but they did.

Just watched Abraham Lincoln vampire killer and the movie is better then the title. Give it 6.5 out of 10 but 9 out of 10 for low bass. Numerous scenes where bass goes from 40hz to about 16-18hz. Awesome sub workout .

I agree I liked the movie better than I thought I would, nice bass movie as well!

FedEx delivered mine but didn't call first or should I say the woman for FedEx delivered mine right to the front door on her own and helped me carry it in the house up a flight of stairs. Man she was one strong lady put me to shame for sure. smile.gif

Prometheus is a great bass movie as well.

+1. I have pointed this out on the "Master Bass List", but no dice. When I saw this in the Imax, my stomach literally wrenched from the amount of awesome bass that came from some of the scenes. I have never quite experienced anything like it before. Prometheus is at the top of my demo scenes for bass right now. smile.gif

Yeah, that whole runaway train scene was pretty intense.

That one is my go to demo for 3D and bass, but wait till you get your VTF's and put in/buy War of the Worlds. The pod emergence scene is very intense, probably my best bass demo BD.

Yep thats a house shaker and really shows off how low the 15H can go.

I prefer the crash landing in Flight of the Phoenix.

I still need to get this movie.

War of the world has a couple great scenes but you can go ten minutes without. Anything ..
What I liked about Lincoln was it moved. My pant legs probably 20 times. Prometheus. Is great too.

Yep. It is my favorite demo for now. In my open floor plan house, my dual 15H shook my couch (on hardwood floor over concrete!) biggrin.gif

Yepp, bridge scene s awesome for the entire system.

I like to be surprised by awesome sound. I know the big name movies with amazing scenes like u571 and others. Often our home theaters can make an average movie enjoyable . Most people have no idea what their missing with the tv speakers or a soundbar . Even a tv show is helped.
I thought I had it covered with my last sub that went down to 25hz. Now with hsu I feel like a kid with 16-24hz bass rumbling and stumbling .

+1. One of my favorite demo scenes now is Game of Thrones (Wild Fire scene). That is pure enjoyment. I have probably watched it over 500 times already, and will be one of the first demo scenes for the VTFs when they arrive. When I watched this at my relative's house on their home theater in a box, I couldn't believe all the LFE was gone.
