I don't own a Vizio, so I'm sorry I can't help with specific settings.

You might want to look into getting a calibration tool - something that plays on your DVD/Blu-Ray player that can help you with fine tuning the picture. If you don't mind spending some money, I've read that Digital Video Essentials is a good calibration tool. It can be found at Amazon or elsewhere.

Good luck!

Did you get that TV from the Walmart sale on Saturday?

I just got one and how I set it up was try to duplicate as close as possible the color I see on my much bigger Sony KDL-40EX500 40" LCD TV.

I have the 22 inch. I found the menu settings very simple compared to my larger downstairs TV. I just did them by eye and came out fine for my limited viewing needs on this set (mostly local news and Letterman).

My custom mode settings:

brightness +68
contrast +35
color +40
tint +1
sharpness +3
backlight +90
adaptive lumina on
color enhancement on
color temp custom
R gain +44
G gain +50
B gain +50
R offset +48
G offset +48
B offset +48
dcr on

Of course, your eyes, room conditions and tastes may differ. Hope this helps.

Each TV is different, as are the viewing environments and tastes. If these look good to you, then job done. Enjoy.

That said, TVs do slowly age. You might want to redo in a few months.

So no adjustments to the Gain and Offset? Did you leave these settings at default?

Yep I left them at default on the settings..I got a great pic from the settings..Might be a better setting though..Still toying with it..Might use Avia 2 to set it up
