Comcast + Mitsu C9 - Blocky and grainy

So I have my new Mitsubishi 65" DLP hooked up to the newer Comcast HDMI boxes (they just replaced old) and have been having a bunch of problems just like with the old box.

1. When watching sports or movies where there are fast paced scenes or with lots of scene cuts, I get pixels or big blocks that you can see all over the screen like the feed is lagging or something. It's extremely annoying and definitely is noticeable. Has anyone ever had this problem with Comcast and how did they fix it?

Avatar was on last night and it looked just ok, nothing like the WOW factor I got after we watched it this morning at my buddies house this morning right down the street who has a 55" LED. Everything looked amazing on his and he has Comcast as well.

2. When watching sports such as baseball, if you get close to the screen it looks like fuzzy outlines around the people sometimes. Anyone experience this?

The tech just came back out and said everything was working.

What can I do? Any Tweaks I can make to the TV? I notice the blocks up close on my 42" in another room.

Digital HD broadcasts use MPEG2 compression and encoding which consists of some new full frames and otherwise just contains changes to the current frame. If the current frame is not correct than chages to is will result in Pixelated displays. Your probelm is with Comcast and not with your TV. It is worse in high motion scenes since they have more changes.

So is there a way to have them fix this? It looks like crap

Yes, if the problem is that all of the tranmissions from their head end are not being received by the STB they provided you. When my cable company installed HD in my home they replaced all the cable ends in my home and they replaced the spllitter where the cable comes into my home with an amplified splitter and I have never had pixelation problems with any HD fast moving content.
Record a program with a lot of pixelation and show that to their tech. Since if it is not happening when the tech is at your house he thinks all is fine.
