I'm not too happy that TWC is blocking **********s!!!!

Yeah, I had that login but they restrict the ability to put it in bridge mode from that login. TWC has a secret account they had to login with remotely.

FWIW, after the ubee is in bridge mode, you can no longer access it unlike the Motorola.

That's why I told them to take that POC back and give me a Moto. Thing is huge - to boot.

Noticed the Moto finally found a 3rd channel to bond. About time. Wonder when upstream bonding will show up.

Here is a quick run down of all the clear QAMS you should receive, had a couple of customer's ask me and I figure it was worth a post.

Now if that just had the native rf channels for those whose tuners were designed by clueless MPEG novices that don't read the CVCT..like 240-1 is actually 83-38..

So I guess my homework assignment is to break everything down with QAM and MPEG Pid with TS-Reader tonight...

I am working Sunday..tks. The Sunday guys are taking that day for their holiday but the bonus is when I come off call on Sunday night is that I get Monday and Tuesday off...

They still won't put WNSC on the Union County system.

I wish the clear QAM channels showed up on my TV like that. For example, WBTV-HD shows up as 80-152

Ehhh... it's only in SD even in Mecklenburg. When there's something on it I want to watch I switch to my antenna. Their OTA HD usually looks very good, too.

I think that's what bd was referring to in his comment about the tuners designed by clueless novices. I have a couple that work like that, too.

I have a bigger problem with TW remapping only some of the channels to their broadcast assignments while leaving others at the old 200 assignments that don't even exist in the converter channel lineup any longer. It's either a combination of laziness and cluelessness (NOT referring to yb), or its cunningly deliberate... to punish those of us who don't rent a box for every oulet. When you add it to the inconsistent tuners, its a real mess.

One problem with changing the VCT to show the broadcast assignment for WCCB is with WHKY being on 18-1 already..properly designed tuners..like the LG, will tune two 18-1's and display them properly (aside from the viewer confusion). I have mixed VCT's like that here (and at home) with my closed circuit QAMs..Panasonics, Vizio's, and Toshibas can't handle the duplicate channels properly. I had a very interesting discussion with the NAB over this..and am told I stirred up a hornets nest.

Except WHKY should be on 14.1, lol. Actually... in my last scan WHKY DID come up tagged as 14.1, as did News14... so that's one of your conflicts right there.

I almost don't care what the channel assignemnents are... but at least be consistent as to how they are applied.

That's ok... they are already screwing up the new cable lineup with inconsistencies... like all On-Demand content supposedly should be in the 1000's but the latest ones are being dropped into other locations.

They are both currently (scanned < 1 hour ago) tagged as 14.1

Then they just changed that..it wasn't that way a week ago when I looked at it and sent the email.. Good.

on your list, there is no 64.2 OTA

Yes there is... second entry down in the OTA channel column. TWC has the QAM tagged as 64.3, though.

I just posted a revised list... the only thing that changed was the QAM service tags... I realized that I had inadvertantly checked a wrong box and my software was pulling those from the (incorrect) SiliconDust server rather than from the QAM stream. They are now corrected to what TW currently has inserted.

Joe, have you replaced the warts for the HDHR? They are prone to failure.

All over Upstate NY, they changed all of the TWC regional news networks to "Your News Now", so it doesn't matter what channel they're on anymore.

Snooze 14 uses that as a sub-brand.

Sure it does...you have to have a channel number and short name..which is what we are discussing here..not the branding.

Need the PowerBlock! Then I can cancel the last SD recordings I have scheduled. Even Bill Dance is in HD now (another network).

Is that happening in the Charlotte area too??? Because I live in the East division and that showed up today. (Johnsonville, SC)

Why would TWC do that to one of their more popular channels, especially in this area. I only have one box (8640 HDC) and it's costing me 22 bucks a month just for it. I have 4 other tvs on regular cable. TWC is making me lean more and more to Directv.

Because with DirecTV you'll be able to watch those four other TVs without a box?
