Yes you will get HD channels on the DTA and that is the only local HD channels on the DTAs along with 2-99.

I have all 15 of my local HD channels on the DTAs from technicolor in North Texas.

Edit:

Seems that my area is also getting Discovery Channel HD on the adapters due to the fact that Discovery Channel is included in the limited basic tier. So if your area has any national cable networks on the basic tier in HD they may popup on the adapters not a for sure thing as it is up to each division to decide if they will add the channels in HD if a national cable network is on basic cable to the adapters.

The analog cuts happened in North Texas on 3/5/13 the second scheduled date as the original date came and went with no notice of cuts sent out.

How can I tell?

All three of mine have been getting random hdmi dropouts all of the sudden, probably started in the past week...

As of Saturday night, mine are still on ODN 5.2.0.9. So it's two versions behind.

LOL... no, it won't "mess" anything up. Some channels might be missing tho.

Who is using Time Warner's new online PC streaming? It supports live TV as well as On Demand

http://www.twctv.com

It's very similar to the Android TWC TV App and the iPad TWC TV App.

I've been using the Roku TWC TV App as well and all work great.

This mean I can expect that shiny upload light to go from green to blue on the cable modem any day now?

Downstream for your Docsis 3.0 will go to 8-channels of bonding but the upstream is not there yet, 64-QAM is not compatible with bigger channels load on a few FP lasers and they need to be change out to DFB lasers in the node.

hmm I wonder when 8 channel bonding will become active in Charlotte? I noticed that TWC in North Texas moved the SDV QAMs around to new frequencies this week and reassigned the TSIDs to each of the SDV QAMs basically using the same TSID numbers and just reordering them in more logical way. So right now TWC North Texas has opened up 771MHz and 777MHz for DOCSIS channels as we are a 860MHz area with some 1GHz gear and right now DOCSIS downstream channels are on 783MHz to 813MHz.

My internet account finally went off promotion. Called up TWC today. Did have the 30/5 package at $79/mo. Got a 12 month deal - 50/5 for $64/mo. $69 after tax/title/tag.

Looking forward to yout report.

Now you tell me, after I gave them back.
Those boxes have only one purpose and that is to drive the "boxless" to a real "box".
Total crap!

After a rather lengthy update & setup mine seems to work fine. I connected via hdmi to a 23" HDTV. I'm receiving all the HD channels I get on my 8642 DVRs.

I'm impressed that TWC decided to go with the HD box and HDMI out. Enter 57 for FoxNews..and it goes to the HD channel. However, that feature does not seem to work with the locals, so I need to inquire about that.

On or about June 11th, WBTW (CBS) will no longer be available in Rockingham, NC and Cheraw, SC on channel 13. Also, on this date, WSPA (CBS) will no longer be available in Shelby, NC and Clover, SC on channel 7. CBS network programming will continue to be available on WBTV in these areas.

Wonder what triggered the change... been that way forever.

Don't know about WBTW (it's a Raycom station just like WBTV). But I'd bet WBTV wouldn't sign a waiver to allow TWC to permit WSPA in the Shelby area.

Way back in the early 90's when the FCC decided that stations could force "competition stations" off cable in a given market, the cable system in Rutherford county made notice that they'd be dropping WBTV. The people in that county made such a fuss that WSPA agreed to allow WBTV to stay.

Had no idea WSPA was even available in Shelby. But I'd guess that's what it is. Either that, or TWC wants some bandwidth back.

My money is on the stations being cranky.

Another good reason to get an antenna, as both GSP/AVL and CLT signals are available in Shelby. And in Rockingham, you probably get Clt, Greensboro, Raleigh, Florence, and maybe even Columbia. No reason to be limited to the overpriced restrictions of cable.

Maybe CBS got cranky. The Raleigh system is doing the same thing on the same day:

On or about June 11th, WNCT (CBS) will no longer be available on channel 9 in Goldsboro, Mt. Olive, Seymour Johnson AFB and Wayne County areas. CBS network programming will continue to be available on WRAL in these areas.

Way back when, WSPA used to be carried on cable in Charlotte, and WBTV was on cable in Spartanburg. Probably has to do with network non duplication rules or retransmission fees. And these stations may no longer be significantly viewed in fringe areas. But an antenna can give you more options with regional channels that may technically be out of market.
WSPA was on CLT cable waaay back in the Cablevision days. I don't remember if it was still there when TWC took the system over in the mid-90s. I had moved over to the Vision Cable system and WSPA wasn't on it.
