Adding second video card to PC

Thread Starter
So I have a fairly decent computer (q6600 quad core, 8gb ram, ati 4850, 4 tb HD, vista 64 (will move up to 7 ultimate soon)...

I don't have HDMI out on the current video card (which uses both DVI ports to drive dual Benq 20.1" LCD screens), and was wondering if I were to pull the ATI 3850 (with HDMI out) out of an older PC, and add it to my current system will I be able to drive Video out the HDMI port specifically if I want the system to push Blu-ray content (want to add a Blu-ray player in the PC)?

Trying to avoid a seperate HTPC (at this point). I have the Oppo 981 for regular DVD usage, and want to provide Blu-ray on the cheap to my system

TIA.
