Okay, so I have had one heck of a time getting Audyssey XT32 (calibrated with Audyssey Pro) to play nice with my new Seaton SubMersive HPs. Between Audyssey not correctly setting the delays (distances) and totally f'ing up the frequency response I decided to buy a Behringer DCX2496. I can't believe how much better my subs sound now.

You can follow how I used the DCX2496 to correctly set the delays and gains for all my subs here...

The real proof is in graphs. I posted them over at the shack but I'll post them here as well.

Audyssey off (green) and Audyssey on (light blue... looks worse than the before) sweeps before the addition of the DCX...

I should mention that I moved one of my subs before I calibrated the DCX (and ran Audyssey) last night. That's some of the reason why the two before (green) sweeps look a bit different.

At any rate, I am very happy with the results to say the least.

Thats almost 15,000 Watts of WOOFAGE!

BEYOND AWESOME!!!

If you have a moment I would love to hear your subjective impressions of how the SubMersive HP compared to the SVS Ultra.

The Seaton SubMersive HP is an incremental improvement upon the SVS PB13-Ultra (in the 15Hz tune).

They both have similar output capabilities with the following exceptions. The SubMersive has more output from 15Hz down and 30Hz up. The Ultra has more output from 15 - 25Hz.

The Ultras have a unique ported sound, which isn't a bad thing. I particularly enjoyed it for HT. The Seaton is a bit more articulate with music, but only slightly.

The Ultra is a tough act to follow, but I feel the Seaton is worth the slight premium in price.

Wow, Bass Maniac! Very cool in my opinion. Curious; what's your all time favorite LF demo material, that really makes visitor's jaws drop? Music, movies or both...?

Spreading the drive signal accross so many voice coils, typically results in a fantastic absense of any significant compression,.thus it must be very responsive.

Have you noticed the thermal load all those power supplies and output sections dump into your HT space? Really cool. Also, have you seen any evidence of your four circuits limiting you in any respect? I don't believe I've seen a typical residential/non-dedicated HT, with as many individual electrical loads from various devices,...and many of which are big amplifiers.

Wow what a difference that DCX made! I could almost plank the after graph it's so flat. Nicely done, I bet it sounds fantastic now with far less warble and various dips and humps than before. Those Seatons are probably very smooth, I'm jealous.

Well I am sure I am not the only one thinking it... but, When are you having people over to watch Tron Legacy? I'm a busy student but I would definitely drive across country to hear those subs...

All jokes aside, you have an awesome set up Counsil.

How can one connect more than two subs?

I would like to add 2 more subs in my HT.

I will try to help since Counsil does not visit this thread very often. I have 4 subs hooked up to my 9.2 system simply using y adapters. I have 2 near the seats coupled together and 2 on the front and rear walls coupled together. I ran audyssey then did a few individual adjustments, it worked out pretty good.

Thats what I was thinking.. so for someone to add more sub they basically will use more Y adapters?

Wont there be any loss of signal in spliting this way?

And is this the only way to add more sub?
