I appreciate the time and advice I will get for this. I have done much research here and other places and there are still probably some things I haven;t considered but here is what I am looking for:

HDTV 55"+
Going In A Basement with dimmable lighting
I will be watching TV with a Charter STB
I will be gaming/movies a lot with Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii
3D is needed
Budget ~ $2500

I am coming from a Samsung LN-S4095D which was a LCD from 2005 with 1080p 60Hz. It was very pixelated during lighting and explosions and blacks seemed not too great at night scenes. No issues with gaming.

I have narrowed it down to basically the Panasonic VT25, Samsung PNC8000, and the Samsung UNC8000.

I am just looking for up to date opinions with these unless someone has other sets in mind that would fit my needs. I have read that ALL Samsung 3DTV's ghost whether plasma or LED. I have heard of a buzzing issue with the Sammy Plasma. I read all this from posts in May and wondering if any of that is still an issue(buzz and ghost).

I chose these TV's because of black levels and color accuracy. And of course 3D. I recently started learning about image retention on plasmas and input lag for gaming.

Again thank you!
