Yes and another showing boxing day - of course not on BBC America yet

Another thing I can't stand about this show is the poor editing of the live-audience response and the slap-dash cuts, canned applause/laugh-track. The applause from the audience and the actual audience response clearly doesn't match. It's like they're not even trying.

Holy schnikes someone get this show some jumper cables.

I don't think the news section could have any less energy without the presenters and audience being wheeled into a morgue. You could drive a Peterbilt through the gaps left by the lack of audience reaction.

The tractor lap went on too long even though half of it was cut out.

After watching Top Gear UK it's just sad trying to even watch the US version. Of course BBC has a huge budget, but man it isn't even close. The three wise men special was great.

After watching tonight's U.S. episode, I turned around and started watching the U.K.'s Xmas special. I was more entertained during the first five minutes of the U.K. show than the entire U.S. episode.

Tractor around a track vs. Sports cars in Iraq? No contest.

Heh... three "wise men" bringing gifts of gold, shampoo, and a Nintendo DS to a baby... well, you gotta see it to believe it.

Tanner is an ok host, the other two need to go.
^Ugh... ur joking right? Tanner is the biggest Douche in the group.
Agreed - ditch Tanner and keep the other two, for now.

I'm not joking...the other two seem lost. Add to that, Tanner can actually drive. He reminds me of Hammond.
Just ditch the whole show.

In a perfect world, they would ditch this show, BBC America would show the newest Top Gear UK episodes uncut the day they come out back home and BBC America would be available in HD everywhere.

One can keep dreaming, can't he?

^Don't hold your breath er I mean leave ur dream? Ur gonna have to keep doing it illegally.

1. I'd take two idiot rednecks that can't drive/making a fool of themselves/lost over a one giant douche trying to force crap down my throat.

2. Way to greatly insult Hammond...

I've got to say I laughed when they took the Detroit iron off-roading, but that's been the sole bit of humor I've found in the US version so far…

Adam Ferrara is the only person that doesn't annoy the crap out of me on this show. I don't know why they picked the people they did but maybe they will make a change if the show survives.

BBC Article

I would've loved to read Clarkson's letter.

Has this episode aired on BBC-America yet? Is it season 15, episode 7 (only 6 episodes of season 15 have aired), or will this be the first episode of season 16 (whenever season 16 airs)?
Confused

Confused

S15E07 was the first new U.K. show in four months. It featured Clarkson, Hammond, and May driving up the East Coast of the U.S. The XMas special is S16E01 and saw the trio trying to drive the route of the biblical three wise men.

Neither of these have aired in the U.S. yet.

NEV........No Entertainment Value. I don't care about the budget, but the trio on the program need a personality transplant. The audience standing around seems contrived and they're detached from what is occuring on stage. You gotta know that there are drivers who can also talk and chew gum at the same time available. Why not look for a retired NASCAR jock? Mike Lowe (Dirty Jobs) would be great. I don't care if he can drive or not, but at least he can write. Heck, Tim Allen knows cars. I realize that the budget can't afford "real talent", but what they have now is dismal and right now ANY change would at least show the producers are trying. I don't know if there is a worse example of a successful British show being transplanted here. Sad, very sad.

Seems those damn fool Americans have tried to turn it into a show about cars

You nailed it. While cars are an essential element, the original is a satire that uses cars in many segments as props, though the test drives are in earnest.
