Question for Dr. BWaslo...
I'm ready to build my surrounds to match my LCR's (BWaslo SEOS12/2512
). I've been flipping between using your Malcolm
or Designer 10
designs. I'm leaning real strong to the Designer 10 plans for a couple of reasons.
- Designer 10's Similar to my 2512. The general approach (box, crossover, etc.) seems very similar to what I just finished.
- Already bought drivers. I already have the SEOS12, DNA-350, and Designer 10 woofers. Just need to get box and electronics.
- Malcolms scare me. Given my noob goof on the crossover on my LCR build, I'm worried about screwing up this one. Seems more complex.
My specific questions for you on the Designer 10:
Tuxedocivic, I've been watching your Delta 10A/DE10 with great interest: http://www.diysoundgroup.com/forum/index.php?topic=68.0
The Delta's are probable a closer match to my LCR's 2512s, but I question how close the DE10 will be to the DNA360. I'm trying to have my surrounds match the timbre/voice of the the LCR's. My understanding (Bill?), is that the voice comes mainly from the waveguide. I would assume that also includes the CD. So, my thinking is that a SEOS12/DNA350 should match the mains' SEOS12/DNA360 better than a SEOS12/DE10. Thoughts?
