What cables support 1080p@72hz?

What cables (manufacturer) can handle 1920x1080p@72hz? The majority of DVI cables I see are limited to 1920x1080p@60hz.

I'm thinking of this in terms of the cable running between a Radiance XS+ and my EH9500LC. Have not yet decided on whether I'm using a Moome card or another HDCP stripper like an HDFury3 with a VGA to BNC breakout cable.

This is a single PJ set up, no blending.

wait a minute, the XS+ is the only one capable of 1080/72 and it has HDMI outputs. Where is the DVI port, even the fury3 is HDMI, not DVI?

Argh! Sorry, I'm using DVI and HDMI interchangeably and that may be the problem. Will all HDMI have the bandwith to support 1080p@72Hz?

The cable doesn't have any bearing on the support of specific resolutions or framerates.

If the cable has the bandwidth the signal without problem, and the devices support 1080p72, then you'll be fine.

Whether any given HDMI or DVI cable has the bandwidth at any given resolution and framerate depends entirely on the specific cable stock and the length of the cable.

There is no such thing as a cable that is "limited" to 1080p60 or any other particular resolution or framerate. Cables can't "support" or "not support" anything, they're just cables.

Perhaps this is my fault, when I say "support 1080p@72hz" I'm referring to necessary bandwith. I don't know how to calculate bandwith and tried to find an online calculator to help me figure this out (no luck-all are for calcing time to download files).

What manufacturer producs an HDMI cable that can handle the bandwith necessary to carry a 1920x1080p@72hz signal across a distance of 10-12ft?

I had no issue with my E-bay bought monster DVI to HDMI cable running 1080p@72 from my TV-ones. it was an 18 foot cable.

Like chris said most cables handle it. its just a marketing hype.

lets put it this way, the ONLY manufacturer that actually rates their cable or manufactures it in North America is Belden. Blue Jeans cable is a forum sponsor and sells Belden for a fraction of the cost of boutique crap from Monster cable, audioquest, etc.
Belden is rated at -8.3Db of attenuation at 200mhz over 100 feet. That's well over 1080/72.

That's just the cable, once you put a nasty HDMI connector on the end of it the signal integrity goes down the toilet.
In commercial broadcast, That cable is used with a normal coaxial plug that's balanced at 75ohms and run up to 200 feet long. Unfortunately they don't offer BD players with coaxial out due to HDCP.
So, to answer your question, just buy a normal cable from Blue jeans, at 12 feet long it will easily handle your video and you can lose sleep at night knowing that the HDMI plug is your biggest weak link and there'[s nothing you can do about it

when using a source with dvi out and you use a dvi-hdmi adapter you are using 1 link of the dvi and are limited to 165mhz pixelcock (1920*1080 60-65hz), 72hz and the pic will crop.
