BENQ PE8700 DVI Problem with any device

hi all, i hope someone can help me..
I read a lot off Thread on this projector, but i can't find any solution on my issue ...

I'm using since 2 years now my pe8700 with PS3 in HDMI with DVI conector.
IT run nice..in 1080I/60h
since 3 days, DVI stop working . always message "Searching DVI-I"... (without doing anything)

however, I do off course several test with other device (LCD TV) and my PS3 Work Fine...
other input on my pe8700 works fine.. (V,SV...)

is it possible that i must reset something or need to reload a firmware ?
It seams like there is a problem to initialise this DVI interface, because if i plug a dvi cable from a running pc, it's ok i've got a picture on pe8700 but if i reboot the pc, display on projector never appear..

please help me .. I don't have any money to buy another one..

thx in advance..

Handshake rule is display on first then turn on the device. Test it with a different cable a shorter one if you have it. Make sure your PS3 isn't at 1080p the BenQ probably can't handle it, 720p would be best anyway.

I had a similar issue where the EDID info on the 8700 was corrupted. At the time I used a registered version of Powerstrip to update the EDID info.

I found an old post that explained the procedure.

thx, i will try this option.. but.. I can't find "update EDID" in Powerstrip tools, maybe it's because i'm using a trial version ? I had purchase a registratiton code but not receive yet ..
if I understand, this tools can overwrite EDID on Benq Projector via DVI interface ? it's correct ? writing directly on projector ?
thx for your help
