Need help with 5.1 setup (already have receiver choice) for $350

I'm planning on setting up my first 5.1 system and I have chosen a Yamaha HTR-6240BL as my receiver (although I haven't purchased it yet) and most likely want a Polk PSW110 Sub to go with it. What speakers (front 2, center, and back 2) could I get for around $200-300?

This thread is in the wrong section. You'd get more input in the "Speakers" section.

I haven't heard these, but you get 2 fronts, center, 2 sides, and back center for $299 + $25 shipping. Just an option.

should sound nice in a small to medium sized room.

Dude, my advice, go for quality 2.1 or 2.0.

That's what will give you the most impressive sound. IE Behringer 2030ps and a 10" lavasub. Or a pair of Infinity Primus 363. Upgrade other components later now that you've got a receiver.

And I'd definitely steer clear of Polk Subs.

I agree--Polk subs blow. If you had to do the budget 5.1 for that price you may want to look at the Energy Micro. A solid 2.1 is also a good idea, and I have the Lava 10. For $200 it's not bad.
