I need some help with a problem that is stumping me.
Problem: I have a computer located at one end of a facility. The computer uses an NVIDIA Quadro FX3700 and outputs dual-link DVI-D to a 30" monitor at WQXGA resolution (2560x1600). I need to remotely display what's on the 30" monitor 11,000ft away to a 60" 1080p LCD TV. Yes, that's 11,000ft. I cannot changed the software configuration of the computer, so a hardware solution is the only way. I have network fiber which can be used to transmit an IP based solution.
Possible solutions that I have struck out on:
DVI extender: nothing I have found works at the distance I need
Frame Grabber: nothing works with the WQXGA resolution.
Scaler: If I could find a product that will down scale WQXGA to 1080, I could use something like the Epiphan "broadcaster light" to encode the video signal to mpeg-4. I have not been able to find such a scaler.
I am stuck. Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks!
