You're right that my one assessment shouldn't be taken as the rule.
But Jeff is highly respected, and worked with me on my HD750 - when the red/green fringing issue was uncovered, and confirmed on his unit, our discussion evolved into the panel and processing performance of JVC vs Sony, and that Sony historically had much better motion handling capacity than JVC for live action/sports viewing (I never was bothered by motion issues watching film content with the JVC). While my screen grabs are not the easiest to assess, the issue is more prevalent in person, and since this issue is presenting as it did with the 750, albeit not as bad, I take Jeff's informal opinion that it is panel/processing related, based on his historical knowledge, as plausible.
Can it be a one off issue? I suppose, but I have a tough time understanding how vs. misaligned optics, lens, etc...
