I was about to buy a new TV, (Finally getting flatscreen) but to take advantage of HD, I was also going to buy a new receiver. I was trying to keep it under $1,200 for the TV, wall mount, and receiver. Setting aside around $700 for the TV and wall mount, I have $500 or so for the receiver. However, we have 5.1 sound in one room, 2.1 sound in another room, and stereo sound outside. I checked at numerous stores, and all 9.2 receivers cost anywhere from $1200+, over double my price for the receiver. However, I found multiple 7.2 receivers for anywhere from $300-$500, well within my price range. We rarely use the outside stereo speakers at the same time as the 2.1 ones in the 2nd room, and when we do, they're always playing the same thing. So, I was wondering if there was some sort of speakerwire splitter, or something we could use to hook up the 2.1 speakers to the 2.0 speakers. Is there a way to, or am I out of luck?
