Hi

I need advice on setting up my 7.1 onkyo HT-S7300 system. Please see the picture of my living room layout. Its an apartment. I had a sony 5.1 HTIB before and I placed front, center speakers on the TV stand next to each other, subwoofer on the floor next to TV stand. Then surround speakers on sides of the couch on speaker stands. Kitchen has a open top counter so Tv can be viewed from kitchen too.

Please suggest some set up ideas.

Thanks
LL

Forget 7.1, it is not for your room. Keep 5.1 setup as it is.

I thought I can somehow use them..

I can change my whole set up. I can move the Tv to one corner or to the wall next to patio door??

I would leave the tv where you have it. Looks to me like you will just need 4 speaker stands, one for each surround. I dont see what the problem would be. When I was renting, which was just 3 months ago, I used four tv trays for my surrounds since I knew it was temporary. They arent the sturdiest thing, but it only cost me $40 dollars and they never fell.
