Help! Deciding between Def Pro 60s or Polk RM75s

I picked up a set of Definitive Technology Pro 60s the other day for $400, which I thought was a pretty good deal. Right now there's a sale on Newegg for the Polk RM75 5.1 set of speakers for $150. The specs aren't THAT different, so I'm wondering if I should go with the Polk speakers and grabbing a $100 sub to go with it. Any advice? Or should I go with something else entirely...
This is for a 12ft by about 12ft living room with an Onkyo TX SR506

If you're gonna grab the Polk RM75 5.0 set (its not 5.1 until you add the subwoofer) for $150 get a better sub than one for $100. Spend around $200-$250 and don't buy one of the cheap Polk subs.

The Def Tech speakers have bigger drivers than than the Polk RM75. Actually the Polk RM 6750 is a better system than the RM 75 and you can get that for $200.

buying another sub in addition to the Pro 60s isn't an option...I'm already over my budget. So you guys think the Pro 60s is worth the extra $100 or so over getting the Polk Speakers and a $150 sub?

Polk can not keep up with the Definitive. Are you saying that you have
$250 to spend?

i originally had a $200-$300 budget, but when i found the Defs on sale for $400 ($569 regular price) I picked it up. Saw the Polk RM75s for $150 now though so I was debating on returning the Defs.

the Defs did sound good to me, but this is my first real home theater speaker set, so I'm not exactly qualified to know what sounds good. or at least I'm not very confident in my judgment

You need to spend more time listening to what you have. Don't
pay a whole lot of attention to marketing and spec sheets. This
is a growing and learning experience
