First post so I decided to pop my cherry with an "official" thread.

I just got this TV (50") 2 days ago and like it very much for viewing TV and movies, but am having trouble calibrating for Xbox. The Whites are not bright enough. They seem to be a little Grey. Any ideas or opinions on this TV?

Thanks in advance,

Brandon

You will probably get more useful information in the 50PK550 thread. The TVs are identical except that the 250 series lacks the USB playback function.

Give the TV a bit of time to break in. Plasmas stabilize and perform better after 100 hours or so.

Picked one of these up last night for $674.99 @ sears.........IMO a great deal on what it is. My only real dissapoinitment is the lack of a "guide" for OTA channels......Even my $200.oo dynex has a real nice PSIP guide which goes hours into the future.
Also the zoom feature will not fill the whole screen like the dynex on channels that are not using the whole screen. The plasma sure is more lifelike than the cheap dynex lcd that is for sure!

Could someone please give me a little direction as far as basic setting for my tv. I have a new LG50PK250 that I use in my basement.

I have put at least a 100 hrs breaking it in on minimal settings but I need some better settings. I understand that no 2 tvs are alike but at the same time I'm not a picky person.

Just would like some settings for regular tv usage, game mode settings for my PS3, and settings for my LG bluray use.

I have been trying to get help with this to no avail. Thanks in advance for the help. Merry X-mas to all

Since PK550 and PK250 are suppose to be similar, did you go to PK550 thread and do a thread search for setting?

so i am experiencing a buzzing sound, but only at certain times. Usually the buzzing occurs when there is a scene with a lot of white colors, if that makes sense. No buzzing during sports but usually movies. Any ideas? I am still under warranty, just got the tv in early December.

so does that mean this tread is DEAD cus somebody says the 250 and 550 are the same, so we have to read about everybodys comments on the 550 and assume that is the same for our tvs?

Guess so. Any buzzing fix's for the 550's?

Considering the PK250 is another TV, it would be nice to see some development of it's own thread.

I know the PK550 is supposed to be identical minus the USB, but is it really?

I've seen complaints about pixelization on the PK250, is this the same for the PK550?

Also, would firmware or any other updates be identical?

Wonder if the two sets are using the same processing.

Regards,

Mike

Tighten or loosen screws in the back...........if you have buzzing, my 60PK550 doesn't and I don't think it's prevailent based on user feedback.

Hey everyone,

The driver in my TV recently went out. Fortunately I bought it with a credit card that extends the warranty. HOWEVER, I need to provide documentation for the warranty, and I can't find the warranty statement anywhere (I have the manual, but it's not printed in it)! The website isn't very clear, as it states 1 year parts/labor and then "Extended" 2 year panel. What does that even mean?

Either way, I was hoping that someone could send me a scan of the warranty document included with the LG 50PK250. It would be like a $600 gift smile.gif.

Thanks!
