Square Enix unveils new 'Tomb Raider' - Page 4

I picked this up on XBL a few weeks ago when they had it for $20 and it's been a great ride and fun. It's surprised me a bit with the combat modes and has a nice balance of searching/combat. The storyline has been great and nice to see how "LC" has come of age from first stranded to what she is now...and I'm almost at the half mark. The overall look and sound is surprising and I can only think what this will look like on a PS4...WOW!

The 360 version is actually a blurry, muddy-looking game compared to the PS3 version. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-tomb-raider-face-off.

Having played both version, I ended up buying the PS3 version due to the sharper visuals.

There are instances where the PS3 does stand out but I'll disagree that the 360 version is a muddy, blurry looking game. I've played it on both systems and it looks just fine on the 360. The PC blows them both away of course but it should.

I just finished the game, really kicking myself for waiting on that $20 price drop. They earned a day one buy on the next Tomb Raider.

I would almost say they did a better job than Uncharted at being Tomb Raider. wink.gif

Uncharted is Indiana Jones, not Tomb Raider. Besides, if anything, Tomb Raider is the women's rights activists version of Indiana Jones.

Laura Croft is not the wemon's rights version of Indiana Jones, her Bazongas are too big for that. (If you wish to learn of Bazongas, play Tales of Xillia, it is a sub plot)

I much preferred Tomb Raider's SP campaign to any of the three Uncharteds.

They learned a lot from Uncharted, allowing back tracking and having the game world change over time was a great touch that Uncharted lacked. I would put it just below Uncharted 2, but above 1&3. Hopefully the next game is pure Next Gen and TressFX gets an upgrade...

I loved the game. I'd say Uncharted "got schooled" by this latest tomb raider.
