Real Steel (in case you've given up on Transformers) - Page 2

I really enjoyed it to tell the truth. Yes it could have been even better but no real complaint here.

I'm not suppose to balk on someone's choice of what to go see when it it is their turn to pick but no way in hell I was going to see The Three you know whats.

Just got done with this on shedule complimentary of netflix so far so good dropping BB. Now about the movie it was pretty good if I may be so generous. At least it wasn't as bad as the summer blockbusters like dark of the moon and super 8. I thought the premise had a lot of potential but unfortunately it was somewhat wrecked by the super sappy and cheesy script which made the kid and Huge jackman a little bit annoying.

It's easy to blame the performances but the writers are to be accountable. The direction was decent and had that "summer movie" feel and I think it's good family fun just nothing amazing or great. It's worth seeing

The robot fighting stuff is excellent CGI.
The film is OK, but once was enough for me.

oink, I can't believe you watched this!
OK, it's time to change over to different brew. Obviously you've been effected with some horrible miscalculation and need to revert to a reliable malt with a known name. I suggest moving away from the southern region stuff if possible.

Trust me, the Europeans were on to this years ago. There were reports of people actually falling directly into
massive patties and confusing the smell with flowers or something. Horrible really.

You have this wrong; it's called "being married."
THE BOSS wanted to see this.

At this point, I want to apologize to those who feel abused by my posts...

AH HAH! Well now, I know something of these things. The issue of substandard music can cause problems with some couples as well. I speak
from experience.

I visit married friends from time to time and flirt with their wives. My buds like this. It's as if I'm helping somehow, lightening the load, something
I get to leave after dinner!!

Obviously, you're a fine gentleman, willing to endure medium bursts of displeasure for a noble cause.

I dismissed this one when it was in the theater thinking that it was a distilled version of transformers designed for teenage boys.

I was wrong about it. Sure it was sappy and predictable but very well executed. I enjoyed it a lot.

I didn't mind this film I actually enjoyed it. I don't mind having this in my collection.

I prefer this over Transformers; got a decent story and simple plot, not forced.

I dunno. For some reason I'm just not that excited to see it. Which is bizarre, because this is my kind of movie. I mean fighting robots. Fugetaboutit.

I liked it, too, and thought it was worth a rental.

Not going to buy it, though.

Felt the same way when it was in the theaters (I just saw it recently as a rental). It's right up my alley but didn't interest me for some reason.

I'm glad I saw it though. We're not talking about an Oscar contender here, but I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would.

Finally watched Real Steel tonight. It was a lot better than I thought it would be. The 7.1 soundtrack is simply outstanding. The audio, especially in the fight scenes is just awesome. I kept looking over at my kids saying, did you feel that?

Just watched this tonight, what a great movie! The previews looked lame but it actually had a great story with some substance! AQ and PQ were both top notch too, solid movie and recommend a rent if you have not seen it.

Redbox still has the BD.

Almost any store has it if you want to own it.

I did and they look real steel-like. Because of this much details, I was worried when Evangeline Lilly raised her arms in celebration (towards the end) but thankfully the pits looked very smooth.

Also, demo-worthy if you want to give your sub a workout. And I just have the DVD. I can only imagine how intense the BD is.
