Does anybody know if this RGB to S-Video converter can convert from composite sync?

I want to use this converter but instead of passing RGBHV I will be passing RGBS (composite sync).

Also, is this a straight passive converter or is there any downscaling? I will be passing 15.7KHz video and I want the signal unmolested (not passing through any kind dof scaling).

I can do this functionality with a AD725 but I was looking for a pre-built package.

Not sure, you may have better look emailing monoprice and asking them, or seeing if they have a pdf of the instruction manual you can read.

Given that it outputs NTSC-spec video, if you're feeding it 15.734 kHz video, 525 lines at 30/1.001 frames per second, I don't see how it can do any scaling.
I suppose that, if it were very badly designed indeed, it could upscale & then downscale again, but how likely is that?
