Triad Speakers' Sales and Marketing Director Paul Scarpelli Set to Retire February 2011
Portland, OR - December 13, 2010 - Larry Pexton, Founder and President of custom loudspeaker manufacturer Triad Speakers Inc., today announced the February 2011 retirement of Sales and Marketing Director Paul Scarpelli.
Having joined Triad in 1996, Scarpelli is credited by Pexton as being a driving force behind the brand's growth to a leading architectural brand in the custom channel. Scarpelli will continue as the face of Triad on the Internet, with contributions to AVSForum.com and other A/V sites, as well as consulting to Triad.
Scarpelli's duties will be divided among three accomplished Triad employees. Current Director of International Sales and Business Development Mike Budd continues in that role. Existing National Sales Manager Bruce Franklin moves into the role of Director of North American Sales, and Marketing Manager Paul Teixeira becomes Director of Marketing. All three will report directly to Pexton.
Of Scarpelli's contributions to Triad, Pexton says, When Paul started with the company most dealers where cherry-picking; we weren't selling many systems. Early on he pushed for changes so that our product line would be intuitive; he took the company in the direction of offering complete systems and influenced dealers to purchase them. Paul has developed a great network of independent sales reps, and motivated them with consistent and often humorous input.
Pexton furthered, Paul simplified Triad's core message to succinctly convey our unique strengths: build-to-order in America; consistent performance from premium components; custom colors / sizes and great customer service. Paul and his team used this clear messaging to help make the company successful. Perhaps his greatest value to Triad is the team he has built, whose strength will allow Paul to cut back his activities without impacting Triad's day-to-day activities. I am very pleased Paul will still be representing us on the enthusiast boards, and will be available for his critical insight into strategic issues. He has also been a great personal friend and that will continue.
Scarpelli says, I thank Triad and Larry Pexton for having confidence in me all these years, and for giving me this great opportunity. Triad is a special company that can hold its head up high - conceiving and manufacturing amazing products in the United States.
Scarpelli furthered, I will miss the camaraderie with my friends at Triad, but I look forward to stepping back a bit and enjoying life. I plan on seeing more of my family despite their protestations, finishing writing a book, spending more time on my bicycles, playing drums, perfecting my anti-gravity machine, and working on the cloak of invisibility.

We wish Paul well in retirement and glad he will still be with us as well respected member of AVSForum.com. We also wish him well with the cloak and the anti-gravity machine. Keep safe Paul and congrats!
