Hi,
Quick question here. I'm planning on mounting a cheap, flat antenna high up near a window in one room of my apartment (Maybe this one: http://www.amazon.com/ANT1500-Superi...2273850&sr=8-2). I'm going to run it to this amplified splitter: http://www.pctstore.com/RF_amplifier...tmab10154a.htm. This should feed all the rooms of my apartment. I realize that active return is unnecessary, but will having it in any way harm or degrade my signal (or anything else). I noticed that Amazon had a passive version of this available (http://www.amazon.com/DIGITAL-AMPLIF...2270586&sr=1-6
). However, seeing as how I might have cable TV in the future, active return might be nice to have if I get fancy with the wiring. I just don't want to give myself issues.
Also, I realize that not all splitters with an amplified return path work with cable modems (I currently use DSL, but again, for the future). Looking at the spec sheet, I have no idea what to look at that might tell me if this would work with a cable modem or not. That being said, would I be better served by a different model?
Thanks for the help!
Dan
