Unable to log in to xbox live

I got my first xbox yesterday. I've been unable to log in to Live for several hours. Since I don't see any messages here about it, I don't know if it is an issue on my end or it is down so often that no one bothers posting about it.

It's on your end; Live is up and running.

FYI, you can always check this link to see if Live is down for maintenance, or for whatever reason.

Post some more details about your setup if you'd like help getting connected.

Thanks. It is working now.

Before I was getting a "Windows Live ID" error message when I tried to log in with a Browser. My xbox account email is a Windows Live address.
