Home Theater Enhancers

How's it going everyone. I have been doing a lot with my Home Theater system recently by purchasing the Monster Home Theater Signature 3600 PowerCenter for power filtration and surge protection. I also upgraded all of my cheap HDMI cables to Monster's M2000 HDMI cables to enhance the picture quality. I am wondering what else is out there as an add-on that I can purchase to improve the picture and performance of my Sony 46EX500 LCD connected to a PS3, AT&T U-Verse Set-top box, and Polk Audio SurroundBar 6000 for my audio.

Sell the Monster cables, power center, and Polk sound bar to another gullible soul, take the money and get a 5.1 surround receiver and speakers. If you have any left over, get a BD calibration disk.

Acoustical treatment is always a good investment. There are nice kits from Auralex, RPG, and Primacoustic, to name a few.
You can start by picking up a book or two on studio acoustics at your local bookshop or library, then peruse the ads for acoustical treatments. Some will even work with you from a scaled room-layout drawing.

The Monster products are overpriced and unnecessary; the Polk should be a decent soundbar if thats what you like, although audiophiles may argue there are better choices; for better HD picture quality switch to DirecTV and/or OTA antenna.

None of these things affected the performance in any way. Waste of $.
