Best router for my apartment?

Hi all,

I am looking for a router that can work well in my apartment (1000 sq ft.), it a small place but has several rooms; the router would have to push through three walls to get to my bedroom on the end. It would provide internet for a ps3 and three laptops, two of which are macs. I really would like something reliable that is not going have to be reset several times a day (like my cheap dlink router) and have been looking at the airport extreme base station or a router from cnet's best list.

Specific model recommendations would be great, thanks!

Strange you should say that. I've used several Cisco/Linksys routers that all have just stopped working completely. I have also a Netgear here sitting on the floor that I used also. It worked ok and didn't need power cycling, but the one that worked the best for me was the D-link Dir655. This guy pumps out my packets like no other. It is fast and has been compatible with everything I use with it, including several IP cameras, external NAS boxes, computers, media players, etc....It is probably one of the best tested routers around.

So is it's cousin, my Dlink DGL4500 which is marketed as a gaming router.
