Avatar 2d vs 3d

Just watched Avatar on sky in 3d. I watched it in 2d some time ago and turned it off after an hour because I was bored. But the 3d transforms it into a completely different experience! I always took James camerons theory about seeing it as it is meant to be seen with a pinch of salt, but now I see what he means!

Absolutely, The best way to silence a 3D naysayer is to have him watch Avatar in 2D/3D.

I wouldn't say that. I don't have any experience with the movie in 3D at home, but at the theater I felt the 3D made a negligible difference when compared to the 2D.

I said the same thing. But that's BEFORE I watched it in 3D at home. My God, what a difference from the theater. When I saw it at the theater in "3D" I thought to myself "Where's the 3D?" I watched it at home and went "Wait, why don't I remember 3D being this good in the theater?" Yeah, once you watch it at home you'll come and edit your comment there.

There really needs to be an Avatar sticky thread.

I've watched the movie so many times in 2D, that once I finally got to see it in 3D I find the suspense to have gone. Don't get me wrong, it is great. On the other hand, I found it great in 2D as well.

Will you be sharing Avatar as you did HTTYD?

Honestly I'm not a huge fan of the movie (I wish there was a way to apply my edits to the 3D version) but I'd like to check it out in 3D.
