Onkyo HT-RC180 is it compatible with new Plasma Sets?

Onkyo is 1.3a and 1 year old .I am considering Plasma Panasonic TC-P 50VT25 or TC-P 54VT25 or Samsung PN58C180 (Plasma ). What can I anticipate (problems and solutions to Problem solve ) if I make 3D Plasma purchase ?

You should plan on HDMI from player to display and optical from player to audio system.
