Attaching waterfall, spectrogram of un equalized wrecker. Once I'm finished with the second one - I will get detailed measurements and start a new thread with all the build details - measurements, etc all in one place.

Updated with measurement vs model mouth SPL using M Audio Transit USB as a generator instead of laptop headphone output.

Couple of questions that you might have already answered but I couldn't remember. What frequency are you planning to roll the wreckers out at? Got an EQ unit handy? Depending on your crossover choice it might be worthwhile to cut the TH peaks in the XO region down a bit. They tend to ring a little. It cleaned up my TH's sound some. What amp are you running these off of?

Yep - Mike is right, it is the entire wall. 2x4's, and both sheets of sheetrock..

Bass is guuuud. Deep bass is even better. I dubbed these theHouseWreckers for a reason.

With less l/f capability in the past I've broken neighbors chandeliers, windows (3 stories up), dumped entire kitchen cupboard contents onto the floor (unawares) cracked drywall seams, knocked anything you can imagine off shelves in other rooms, dropped plants, and pictures hanging from walls, and popped screws through drywall..

Thought some of ya'll would appreciate 'seeing' what real Bass can do.

post 233 by Lil-Mike contains the cut list and sketchup files. If you wait a bit - Mikes cooking up a slightly smaller Lil-Wrecker variant that is a bit more efficient, and only loses a couple dB. Neat thing - you can stack two in an 8' ceiling room.

Short clip of the other side of the wall. That's a lotta air. This is a 20hz signal - meter is on C-weighting. The piece of paper didn't make it for another shot - poor thing.

No clue - the wall vids were generated with REW coming from a Transit USB. I couldn't get enough signal for full power and I didn't measure voltage. Probably a good 70 to 80% of what the amp was capable of - but I don't want to speculate. Driving amp is only capable of 900 watts.

Watching Pulse last night from the receiver - it was definitely maxing out the 15 to 20hs swept 'pulses' and trying to bring down the house.

I remember listening to my fist horn build(THT) and couldn't believe it was only 100 watts going to the 15 while listening to a sine wave.

Amazing how much air is coming from your horn vid.

Not even serious sawdust yet. Plans were not final until a few days ago.

I won't have room for these in the house till the remodel is done, and that has not even started yet - so don't hold your breath waiting for me....

We will attach new models shortly. Since I built previous unit at 16.5" internal, there is one for that. the 18" internal gives an S3 much closer to the ideal 1.3x SD, and is the preferred enclosure.

There are several different variants now based around 12" and 15" VX's. TheLilWrecker turned out awesome. Someday we'll get Mike to start that thread wink.gif
