Yeah, Terry O' Quinn didn't last long, first he's kicked out of Hawaii 5-0, then 666 Park Ave. gets cancelled, then killed off here.. (give the man a job please?), although he'll always be Locke for some of us.

So, any bets of who is the mole? it points to Hal being "controlled" by the Karen, but he was on the delivery room when they killed Manchester. Could it be Anthony?

Tom was on the Overlords ship so maybe they messed with his DNA.

Pure coincidence! Tom was reading an American history book at the time (as usual) about the Apache and as everyone stood around trying to think of a nickname for the new alien without one of his own ...

We obviously skipped the scene where alternatives were offered: Ackbar, Sam Francisco, Fisheyes, Abe, etc. biggrin.gif

It could also be another coincidence in that his Volm name is actually Cochisensumakenalidikto-arksuvolkanmoriohvolm but everyone back home just calls him Cochise. In a couple of episodes it might be shortened to just "Co".

Maybe they are saying "co-cheese" as in "the big cheese" and this guy is one of the co-cheese in charge wink.gif

Meanwhile.. magic baby... since no one else seems to be seeing/hearing anything... part of me wonder if it is just mommy hallucinating OR perhaps having a special bond with the baby rather than the baby actually being advanced.

Pope is an ass... but he isn't wrong sometimes... all off-season I speculated that maybe the new aliens could be worse... Note... the first aliens were trying to build a shield to keep these new aliens away... whereas the new aliens are building a weapon to shoot down the old aliens.

I still half-wonder IF the first aliens weren't trying to escape the new aliens, thought they might find allies in earth but lots of misunderstandings happened (remember they said "we didn't expect you to resist" so maybe they were trying to help)...

In any case, I'm thinking the new aliens aren't going to be best friends and all when the chips are down.

No. Falling Skies has two years' worth of prior complaining on Revolution. wink.gif

Mason didn't refer to Weaver's rank when talking to the scientist: I think the point was that he almost did and then caught himself. Since the scientist hates company, Mason didn't want to explain why a lowly colonel had been allowed into his underground lair (i.e. because Mason trusts Weaver more than the generals, despite Weaver's lower rank).

Remember that they all got captured at the end of last season, and even in the "previously on" segment, they quoted the scene where the aliens (Karen specifically?) noted that she was pregnant. I'm think we're supposed to believe that Karen tampered with the baby to cause its accelerated development.

The only thing I got out of the premiere was a desire to watch Black Butler. rolleyes.gif

Don't forget, Karen is probably now pregnant with Hal's space baby (cue, surprise "I'm pregnant!" reveal") so I expect at some point in the future both babies will grow rapidly and have a magic space baby smackdown.

Or their shared human bonds will be the thing that creates peace between the races.

Assuming Karen's baby doesn't look like this:

V's rubber alien baby is the gift that keeps on giving. biggrin.gif

Yeah, but there's one big difference:

Falling Skies actually improved and has addressed at least some of the complaints. Revolution has gone further down the rabbit hole.

By the finale, Revolution stopped being fun to watch even to pick on it.

What are we in now, Season 3 FS .. ??

Rev just had it's freshman season .. ??

Who knows .. maybe by Season 3 of Rev we'll be praising it ..

FS got better by the end of season 1 - and the first two seasons were only 20 episodes total. Revolution had 20 in one season alone.

Further, Revolution actually laid off mid season to finish episodes for the back side. They actually admitted to making adjustments for the back half. That gave them plenty of opportunity to address the issues.

I'm not saying FS is perfect, but at least they seem to be trying.

Point taken ..

And I'm not defending Rev in any way shape or form .. but .. cobbling together some "adjustments" mid season VS a fresh perspective for Season 2 may help things out .. I don't know ..

God, I'd just like there to be some at least half assed quasi fantasy / sci fi / adventure / futuristic / mind stretching / something something that's fun to watch and I can relate to ..

and you noticed I did not just call it sci fi ..

Are we watching the same show? How exactly did FS "improve"?

People still do the same dumb things, the plot wanders all over the place, we get "deus ex machina " when ever it's convenient for the writers. I really question why I still watch, but I did invest 20 hours and it's summer so I watch.

Judging by the content of this topic, it hasn't improved at all. The complaints never stopped rolling in, and it looks like the third season is going to generate plenty of hate, too.

1) They gave the kid something to do, which fixed the same annoying aspect we encountered in The Walking Dead. This season actually started out very much like the change we saw in the Walking Dead opener with a much more mature person doing important work.

2) While it was a bit silly, they at least showed them insulating the engine compartments of vehicles to lower the heat signature. We still don't know why headlights aren't a problem, but I appreciate the attempt to at least be a bit more covert.

3) At one point, they started showing them making ammunition. They also found ways to kill the skitters without shooting them. They still fire way too much, though.

4) They actually killed the leadership of the bad aliens instead of standing off time and time again and allowing him/it to escape, like Revolution does every 3 episodes.

5) They developed plausible alliances with rebel aliens and (unlike with other alien shows) they found a decent way to allow them to not speak English. Sure, there's a representative of the new race that speaks English, but we don't know how long he's been studying us to have learned the language. Perhaps a bit of broken English might sell it a bit more, but maybe their race has a good aptitude for language.

6) They finally moved underground and stopped blazing lights and candles from windows.

Certainly there is still plenty they can improve, but there has been progress.

It is the exceptionally rare sci fi related show that does not get consistently ripped here on AVS .. but the odd part is, the nay sayers in many cases keep watching .. wink.gif

That's what I was going to say. I'm pretty sure my Galaxy S4 could work for me to speak on an alien planet . . . biggrin.gif

Just as long as it doesn't use Google, Apple or other internet-based servers to do the translation. The ping times from Andromeda would really drag down the conversation.... wink.gif

The only problem is, you can only talk for 6 months of the year when line of sight isn't blocked by the sun...the rest of the time you have to communicate through interpretive dance... wink.gif

I say the President's assistant is the mole. She has been in every meeting and never on the field of battle to be put into danger. So far she seems to be the only "main" character that wasn't accounted for when 'Locke' was killed and when the pictures of the plans were taken.

The person who walked up to the door behind the smoked glass definitely looked female.

It's been so long since I've seen S2 I honestly am having a hard time following what's going on.

When the baby started running around and talking the first thing I did think was "it's the baby from V"!
Yeah, and it's been done on Stargate....

Well, then if tradition holds, Falling Skies might be seeing a little Morena Baccarin action. Which I'd be OK with.
