Hey, it's not my auction so I can't control the price. But I'm pretty sure these kits were more than $15 when sold direct from Emotiva and that didn't include shipping. I know of one other AVS forum member who bought a handful of kits when I told them about this auction and they successfully made a lower bid.

I hope you guys noticed there is a "Make Offer" option right there.
Thanks for sharing the info Vaison.......I should be able to have all my speaker wires sporting Emo plugs.
Yeah! Totally unexpected. I purchased them last Friday's night and they arrived today (Monday)..........Wisconsin to Georgia over the weekend via USPS.....

I did make an offer. Still too much for what they are and do. I'm going to go with Sewell Deadbolt banana plugs.. I'll be able to do all my 7 speaker wires for less than $50 dollars. Edited by GusGus748s - 1/29/13 at 1:21am
yeah I agree I got them down to 11$ per set but...just cant justify it since I made mine with 16$ (for the all of them) plugs andthey look nice....
as gorgeous as the emotiva ones are....if I had floorstanders and you could see the wires I would but all my wiring is concealed in the wall or behind the unit

I just looked back at old notes and I believe they were selling direct from Emotiva toward the end of last year for $8.99. I think I got confused thinking it was more because my order was for two kits at $17.98. My bad. I guess if people want them badly enough, they will get them. Supply vs. demand of a discontinued product. I went with Sewell Pro Maestro once the Emotiva were gone and I think they look pretty good.

I offered to pay $9 for all 7 of them to do my 7.1 set up, but apparently the lowest he'd go is $11.50. I'm thinking of going with the Sewel deadbolt banana plugs.

So, here is a picture comparing the 3/8" flextech on the left, and the off brand from install_depont (ebay seller) speaker wire sleeve cover. Both of them are of the same quality. I would say they are 100% equal. However, the non branded one width is a bit bigger as you can see on the picture. Just as a reminder you can buy 100FT of the non-techflex brand for $25 dollars shipped. Compared to TechFlex being 25FT for about $10.00.
No it's not lose. I will definitely buy more of the non-brand for future usage. With KnuKonceptz speaker wire pants. I didn't like the Parts Express speaker wire pants since they are short.
Would 3/8 techflex work with 14gauge speaker wire?
What type of speaker wire, the one with a rubber sleeve or just regular clear speaker wire? I think it should work fine. I used 1/2" for my front 3 speaker, and it was a little bit lose, but not by much. I did the rest with 3/8, and it fit snug for 12 gauge CL2 monoprice speaker wire.
