I am curious, what exactly is that green thing at the end of the jacket?

I ordered 100ft black from another seller, and didn't really think about it, but it seems everything may be black except the banana plug.

I use the GLS plugs and can attest to their build quality. They accepted my 12 gage wire and fit perfectly to the posts.

Did you happen to purchase online? I am thinking about a green and black colour scheme now.

I just checked out the ebay store that PE linked to. They have several different colors. Red, green, black, blue, white, purple, orange, pink, red white & blue and if you really want to go crazy check out the sherbert and the HIP HOP!

I dunno why the hate for the monoprice closed screw bananas. I have 44 pairs and they've never come loose, or done anything. They stay tight and work fine IMO.
Those nac bananas I found are very hit and miss. I had a set that was sO tight it's pulled the terminal out of an older receiver, then other were so loose that they just fell out.

Thanks Pure-Evil again. So, that ebay seller shipped my ogre colour in two days (origin of destination not too far from me tho). wow, from the picture, it looked green with no sign of black. This looks fancy, like something that you see in those high end alienware gaming systems. To give you an idea of what it looks like, I tried my magic at being a good photographer and shot some pics for you. Also, this this is UV reactive which i found out after I ordered, lol. So i took out a blacklight I had from an old computer to check it out. Definitely going to try my hand at installing a blacklight somewhere int he back of the tv stand where these will be run.

I personally have had very bad luck with that style banana plug. Like typical bananas they don't hold well for long plus with very little effort they can bend/brake at the base. Except for the convenience of quick connect/disconnects I don't like banana plugs much but of the many types I've used over the years (non-locking) this one seems to maintain an extremely tight grip the best. I don't recall the brand but here's a photo of the mechanism. Just for the record I don't much care for spades either, on a microscopic level I seriously question the absolute contact area involved plus when cinching down they're always twisting and sliding which ultimately requires two hands to attach, bare wire is the way to go. If foregoing bare wire for matters of convenience, Neutrik Speakon is a method which makes most sense, imo.

Parts-Express has the cable pants for a very reasonable price, the sizes range from 6mm-11mm and 14mm. Any idea what size I would need for 14 gauge and 12 gauge wire? Thx

The Nak plugs with the regular banana ends fit much better IMO :

N8DOGG i ordered that style, they look like they would have a tighter, more full contact.

These are great locking plugs. You could hold your speaker up by the wire and neither the wire nor the plug will come out.
