My new house family room is narrow but long, I have tried to move the couch closer to the tv to have the "equilateral" placement of the fronts to the couch but it just can't go any further, so the question is..
Is it ok to bring the speakers further into the center of the room, closer to the couch (therefor farther away from the tv) to create a better equilateral triangle between the listening position, to improve the stereo effect or will this "detach" the sound from the TV... What is preferred, keeping the speaker close to the tv, or creating the equilateral triangle?
I have seen pictures of peoples setups where the speakers are literally near the center of the room, several feet in front of the tv, but i always thought the speakers should be right near the tv...
(note: I have a 92" projection screen mounted to the wall so there is no moving the tv.)
Any help is appreciated...
