i dont know you pcweber111 but some food for thought on the going at it alone part.

Getting these HT systems setup is fun and very time consuming. My recommendation (one that I keep reminding myself on a daily basis) is get it set up "good enough" to the point where, yea you really can sit down and enjoy a movie\tv\music or kick back and play a game for an hour without having to futz with a bunch of stuff and then just STOP.

Once your there begin to get out and do the massive variety of things available out there to do - anything from riding a bicycle for a couple hours or going on a hike or maybe hitting up the local pool or actually trying a new sport or activity, anything to just get out. The important thing is not spend anymore time tinkering with HT/pcs/etc and making sure your getting out.

And the best part? When you get home after getting out and enjoying your life away from tinkering you just press a few magical buttons and your get this amazingly enjoyable media experience to wrap the evening up or to fill an hour or two while your waiting to go do something. and you repeat this piece by piece and you will find yourself more active, feeling more refreshed and actually having some improvements in life as the whole experience kinda goes on autopilot and (not saying you need it) you put you life back together. In short make the HT one awesome piece of your life, and then add some others.

just thought i would share.....

PS> Chicks dig some couches, throw blanket, coffee/tea/cookies, and a awesome HT movie night experience, amiright? its what keeps me motivated knowing that there is a future out there

Hey man, congrats on the SVS contest. Just saw it on my Facebook news feed.

I don't know the details, but I see the terms "congrats" and "svs" in the same sentence above, and thus....must offer congratulations as well. Anything "SVS" is awesome, from cables to subs.

Wazzapenin' Weber? Dju get a new sub or what? That SVS has got to be pumping some LF's.

Thanks for the compliment on my cables, did you get yours hooked up and smoking?

To demo your sub, this is a crap movie (IMO), but my wife loves these types, the scary ghost type. It's called the "The InnKeepers".

I've got a pair of Epik Empires, we watched this movie on DVD, the bluray has an even better audio track, but at one point, when the ghost was supposed to be in the room, the LF's were so low and strong, my wooden window covers were rattling like a C130 was clipping my rooftop. My wife actually asked me what the heck was going on, I paused the movie, the shutters stopped rattling and we could hear my drivers "pop" back into place because they were extended out so far.

I looked at my wife and said, "this movie sucks but it's a killer sub demo", she laughs and said I bet you can't wait to tell your buddies on your forum. Smart girl smile.gif
