Over the past year, the load times for newer BR titles takes longer and longer and longer and longer . . . . and I blame BD-LIVE.
I think that BD-LIVE is worthless. I'm a Blu-ray fan for one reason only: Video and Sound quality. Nothing else at the consumer level comes close. I remember a recent title (can't remember which one) that took forever to load, and when the disc menu finally appears, there was a weather bug in the upper right hand corner telling me it was nice and sunny outside my home.

OK, this is getting ridiculous!!! I only want to watch the movie, and maybe scan the extras. I don't want to play games, post in a chat room, balance my checking account, or solve the world's problems.
So, I've turned off the BD-LIVE function on my LG player, and now it nags me to turn it on everytime I try to watch a movie.
Question: does anybody care about BD-Live bloatware?
