Yeah, I remember you. Didn't know you got out of the business. I'm still going strong with shooting and editing low budget TV shows and other misc video projects. Give me a shout on e-mail: email@example.com
and I'll bring you up to date on where everyone you should recall is hanging out these days.
The only change I have seen with WTLV has been their recent switch to 480P. Still haven't seen anything on the WJXX channel of 10-1. I should contact them for a status report on it as well as their encoder for HDTV. I guess the only NBC HD is Leno show but ABC has a bunch of HDTV programming. I do recall Bill telling me he was going to be quite busy with the WJXX transmitter install right after the Olympics to meet their May 1 deadline.
I have two OTA receivers here that are operational. The Panasonic DST50 is a weak receiver and has no meter but does have a format analysis to tell if the picture is 480P, 480i, 720P, or 1080i. The other receiver, DTC-100 is much better for receiving a solid signal from the same antenna. It also has a numerical scale on the signal so I get 96 for WJXT 42-1 and 55 for WTLV 13-1. 35-40 is the threshhold for signal loss. I bought an amplifier yesterday at RatSchack and we'll see how it works for the DST50. I want to use my DST50 because it has the ability to connect to my HDTV VCR.
