I reset up the bios as per The Guides and swapped the SATA from the SSD to a 3GB port, thinking that may be the problem because during BIOS set up I saw two drives, the ASUS optical and a WDC.... which I believe is my 3TB Western Digital, but I did not see the SSD (Crucial 64).
What is my next step? I've got the boot disk and am staring at the 'Install Windows" screen, which I really don't want to do unless I can get a few things off of my SSD before hand.
Any suggestions? Is it possible my SSD is shot? Just over a year old (Crucial, 64GB).
Update, attempting to install windows, the SSD is found, however: Windows is unable to install to the selected location. Error 0x80300024
A YouTube Video (33 seconds) recommends disconnecting the other drive, and doing so it appears as if the OS is loading despite only having 21 GB of free space and 24 is recommended. We'll see. I do have an early image on an external drive which I made over a year ago.
Alright, I reinstalled the OS, probably not a good idea, should have tried a back first. Are all my 'copy protected' recordings no longer viewable? I can't tune any HDCP channels, I get one of two errors: Your computer is not digital TV compatible, or, Broadcaster won't allow you to copy this.... Do I need to repair my tuners? Ironcally 4 tuners showed up, but, 3 Ceton and one HD Prime.... I've got some work ahead of me but not tonight.
