Either way, hopefully I dont need them to be controlled by the mobo and they'll be silent enough running at full speed.
I have the ASrock z68 pro3-m and even though there are 4 fan connectors on the motherboard (CPU, Power,Chasis1,Chasis2), the bios didn't have an option to set the speed for the Power fan. I'm guessing there will eventually be a BIOS update to add that.
Btw, have you tested out your network speeds? There seem to be some issues with the Z68. Took me a few hours of troubleshooting to figure it out. The only thing that helped was to change auto negotiate to 1gbs. It is much better than it was, but nowhere near as good as it should be. It used to start out at max speed and then after about 10 seconds drop down to 10Mbps and lower. Now it still isn't at max speed but when it drops down it only goes to 60Mbs. I suspect it's a chipset driver or BIOS issue of sorts not the network card driver as I tried several brands (PCI and PCIe) as well as the built in and they all did the same thing.
