Green flash on screen?

I'm using an xbox 360 hooked up to a Sharp aquos using HDMI.

Whenever I go to watch a movie, there is always a green flash before the movie begins(by this, I mean when I click play dvd on the dashboard, not in the dvd's main menu.)

I was playing around with my 360 HD settings, and realized something. The flash only happens when the HDMI color space is set to Ycbcr709. When set to RGB or Source, no flash occurs. To my understand, movies are in Ycbcr709, so why would the flash occur?

It only happens once. It doesn't flash at all during the actual film.

I always use Ycbcr709, as I like the image the best.

But what does HDMI color space have to do with resolution?

I think it has to do with the output device changing video settings or something. My cable and upscale dvd player do the same thing. Either way, it's no big deal.

hrmm... my couple months old receiver does this crap. but it does it every 10 minutes through any source. be it the htpc, hd dvd player (stand-alone), ps3, or xbox. however the directv box has no problems. WTF?!

im 99% self assure its the receiver cause any source with this issue i then connect direct to the tv and it works perfect. all hdmi cables have been replaced twice, even switched over the directv hdmi cable to the other sources and the directv box still works fine with a new cable, but the source in question still sucks!

bad taste as this is my first attempt at an actual component built living room area. dont want to call it a home theater, as its not the end all be all in my house.
