I was staying at a Holiday Inn Express over the holidays and they had a 37" LG in the room that I was very impressed with. Color balance looked very nice and overall picture was very pleasing (HD Feed)

I have a beautiful PIO Elite PRo-101 and am looking for a set for my folks bedroom. A 37 seems like it would be fine.
I did a little research and it seem this is a commercial model?
While researching I came across the whole IPS vs Non, Panel mess, too!
So, what would be a similiar consumer model and how big a deal is the "IPS" thing?
