Speed up HDMI Handshakes (HDCP)

Hello all,

I've finally gotten my remote components all set up to use hardwired IR connections to speed up switching between bluray, htpc, xbox, cable etc.

Now I'm obsessed with making this whole process even more responsive.

I remember reading about a hardware device, that, once you had an HDMI source and player sync'd, would emulate the sync signal, essentially keeping those components "connected" at all times.

But, I can no longer find that piece of kit using all of what Google has to offer... anyone rememer what it's called, and maybe more importantly, if it works?

Thanks!

Brad

Wow, quick reply, thanks! So my main question is if it actually speeds the startup time of your connections. The whole kit seems to take something like 45 seconds to start up. It would be great if that could be down to like 5-10

It unfortunately doesn't speed up the connection time, it makes the connections more dependable. It's more for those who lose video, etc. when switching inputs on their receiver. I was having issues with media center crashing and needing to be restarted when I would switch inputs. This item has fixed that.
