Usually technology progresses. The TM750 /SDT750 received an updated stabilizer and the TM900 might get better picture quality. I know for sure even though the GH2 has more mega pixels, the low light capabilities are better than the GH1's. In the case of the TM900, the pixels didn't increase and Panasonic is able to do more to the low light capabilities of the TM900 than they did to the GH2. Last but not least, it might even have a better fan design or the technology progressed so much that there isn't a fan at all.
Panasonic might have an edge in the colors and a focusing ring around the lens but the Sony might have an edge if it doesn't have a fan and the Panasonic does and yes they might even have an edge on an easier to work with 24p mode (I have to read more about the 24p of both camcorders).
One extra benefit the CX700 might have over the CX550 is the blue dot issue being more controlled.
It's too early to compare the stabilizer and low light capabilities of the CX700 and the TM700.
Regardless, they both have 1080 60p and that to me is extremely important.
