Hi im from australia im about to buy the lg hw300t locally but i have read about all the stretching problems etc. the projector will only be used on a 16:9 screen, can anyone please confirm if my projector is the april 2012 model with the updated firmware. the serial number is 204SRCK62683. Thanks

Could someone tell me about the projectors focus? Does it heat up and change while running the first minutes? Is the picture sharp at every place?

I literally just finished checking LG’s website to find out how to do an under warranty repair. I have not decided if I want to do so yet.

Until a few days ago, I was very happy with the four HW300Ts that I bought. The fourth unit was going to be my field unit.

I decided to setup the fourth unit in the living room. I don’t have cable in the living and I do not trust the mandatory unsecured internet requirement to use LAN so I attached a HDD with a few video samples to the USB port to test setup.

No matter what I do I cannot get all three menu areas to evenly focus (I had the same problem with the PA70G I returned). This means that if you pull up the main menu that you will not be able to get all of it in focus. You can ONLY get portions of the screen in focus. So if you look at the directory for the HDD you can focus on the top, left side, right side, center OR bottom. If you only watch wide angle (2:35) movies with no subtitles or seldom use a computer then the focus problems could be missed entirely (I did not critically look at this unit until recently).

None of the other unit’s power up in focus but as others noted after a few minutes the projector’s focus.

So it gets sharper afer a few minutes? This is important for me cuz I'll run the PJ at least 3 hours a day.
I had the same problem with my lg hs200g (201 in the states).

You wrote in another thread that the HW300T is much sharper than the PA70G after running warm....
