mounting tip on dashboard

I'm going to Wilmot Mountain, WI this Saturday. I will do timelapse of my travel. Any ideas on how I should mount my TM700 on dashboard without spending?

Pour rice, or lentils or other dried beans into a couple of socks (without holes, obviously) and tie the tops off.

Use as beanbags on the dash to hold the camera in place.

This works surprisingly well even when in motion (though it does create an expensive unguided missile in the event of an accident.)
