Yesterday I went into bestbuy and I saw avatar playing on a panasonic 3d tv in 3d through a panasonic blu ray player. When did avatar come out for blu ray in 3d?

It's currently available only in Panasonic product bundles (with TVs, in starter packs with glasses, or now with BD player purchases). General retail release is at least a year away.

Avatar 3d is going for big bucks on e bay I'm sure price will go down once they release them for the retail market.

I just bought a GT25 and was wondering if Panasonic will still honor the free Avatar 3D blu-ray. As best I can tell, this offer ended if you purchased the TV after Nov 30th.

I was in shock when I saw it. At 1st I thought it was the tv that did the 2d-3d conversion and I was like WOW, THIS LOOKS REALLY GOOD!!! Then I started looking up if the panasonic tv and or blu ray player did the conversion and saw that it didn't. So I was wondering. Now I see that they actually do have it in 3d. I wish my kuro was able to do 3d.... Does anyone know if some 3rd party company can make some type of adapter to make plasmas 3d? lol

me too! I printed it out for the gt25 I purchased Monday and than realized that the cut-off was November 30th.

To the guy above^^ I have a Kuro too and wanted 3D. I just bought a 50" GT25 for $997 total from Amazon and they did a Us.appliance.com price match.

I did see Avatar 3D in a cinema, and yes it was awesome. It's so awesome on 2D though, I can wait for 3D.

does anyone know if the 3d avatar has any of the deleted scenes like the extended cut, or is it like the basic Avatar blu-ray?

And just to let you guys know you can also get it from the Panasonic 3d Avatar glasses bundle instead of buying a whole TV for it

I don't condone piracy, but if you intentionally cut off supply for no reason other than for exclusivity, than I as a consumer have no other options than to get it from shady sources. It does look great though.

I too was surprised to see Avatar in 3D... It must not have been advertised much, because just randomly I saw something about it on the net. I guess no one seemed to care. Great movie though.
